  • Can I just use a mouthpiece from amazon?

We recommend a custom fit device for many reasons. The most important being that they are clinically proven to treat sleep apnea much more effectively. Also, custom fit oral devices are recognized as a clinical treatment for a disease. Think about it, you insurance won't cover an over the counter mouthguard- there's a reason. Finally, we see many more side effects and jaw discomfort in general for folks that use the over counter devices. You won't have a professional monitoring your care, or monitoring to see if that device is actually working for you. With a custom fit oral device from Sleep Well Sunnyside, you'll KNOW whether or not your device is working for you.
